Wake's Driving School has been operating in Battle Ground area since the early 90's and is one of the longest operating Driving Schools in Clark County today.

Our excellent long standing history of supporting the community and local schools including Battle Ground, Columbia Adventist Academy, Hockinson, Prairie, CAM, Summit View, Ridgefield, La Center and Woodland, remains one of our highest priorities.

In February 2010 we underwent changes in ownership and management, and will continue to provide Clark County with the quality education and customer service Wake's is known for.

Our Longview office has been operating since 2002. It has been sold to Ann and Jason Nelson effective October 2011, which is now known as A&J Driving school. We are pleased to see its growing business serve all of Cowlitz County.

The Highly qualified professionals at Wake's consist of moms & dads, home school teachers, public school teachers and instructors holding both bachelors and masters degrees, who also possess extremely high moral values. We believe that anyone can teach but it takes a well educated instructor to teach well; making it both educational and fun at the same time.

At Wake's we use the latest and most innovative technology in our classrooms while teaching the Washington State Risk Prevention Curriculum, provided by the Washington State Department of Licensing. We encourage parents to accompany their student on one of the first two drives, helping to ensure that the "at-home" teachers and the classroom teachers are on the same page in regards to the students' education. There is also an open door policy for parents to sit in on any classes your student is enrolled in.

You're the parent. You need to know what we teach and why we teach it, so you can effectively monitor your student while driving at home.

Wake's offers a complimentary refresher drive for all Wake's Graduates who will soon be taking their DOL test. Our instructors will take the student behind the wheel to practice maneuvers like backing around the corner and parallel parking, and answer any last questions the student might have before their test.
